Product description

1, Silver melting point is 960 ℃, the temperature shall not exceed 700 ℃ when using, also can not directly on flame heating.


2.Silver crucible has good corrosion resistance to alkaline solvents (sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide), which can be used as solvent, but the solution sample time should not exceed 30 minutes.


3. In the melting state, the salt of metal forming such as zinc and tin can make the silver crucible brittle, so the samples containing these compounds cannot be treated with silver crucible.


4. It is not possible to decompose or melt more sulfur containing samples in silver crucible, because silver is easy to produce sulfide silver with sulfur.


5. Silver is easy to be in acid, so after leaching the molten material, clean the crucible with a small amount (1+20) of nitric acid or (1+5) hydrochloric acid.


6, Do not heat or dissolve things that composition is unknown in silver crucible.


7. High temperature heating should not be in contact with any other metal (iron plate and electric furnace, etc.). Be careful not to touch the corner when you put it in a high temperature furnace.


8. The new silver crucible is washed with hot dilute HCl after burning in the 300-400 degree muffle furnace.


9. Silver crucible is suitable for the melting sample of NaOH as flux, and cannot be used to melt samples with Na2CO3.

10. Silver crucible cannot be used when precipitating sulfur and burning sulfur
